Pies were small, had and had little chicken. lasagne was more like cottage pie with pasta topping Burger good.Mehr erfahrenThe Fountain at AshurstPreis: Moderat• Britisch• Steyning•4,4
- RRichardWest Sussex •1 Bewertung5.0Vor 4 Tagen besuchtThis was only our 2nd visit after fortuitously coming across the pub and restaurant. Living on the South Coast and having friends and family further north in the Home Counties, it’s an ideal location for a midpoint lunch within easy access to the M25. Nothing more welcoming than walking into an old pub on a cold miserable day and being greeted by an open fire and friendly staff. The restaurant was busy when we visited but its size limited the overall numbers, so noise didn’t become an issue for us (one of our small party has quite severe hearing difficulties ). Another open fire provided a very comfortable environment in ideal surroundings. Service was prompt, attentive and helpful throughout the meal. The menu wasn’t vast but the choice of food carefully considered for various tastes. The food ranged from simple pub to the usual more expensive steak dishes. For the 2nd time I stuck with the Calves liver and bacon - best I’ve ever experienced. All 4 of our meals were well presented and fair to say we all enjoyed what we ordered. My only complaint, common with many restaurants, was that I was served with what seemed like a thimble full of custard for my mixed fruit crumble. Don’t really understand why restaurants don’t get it that often us oldies choose that type of old fashioned pudding as much for the custard as what lies below! The Chequers certainly isn’t the cheapest place you’ll ever eat in but the so many pluses it has to be an overall 5 star from us.Mehr erfahrenThe Chequers RowhookPreis: Hoch• Gastro-Pub• Horsham•4,5
- JCJamesCWest Sussex •4 Bewertungen5.0Vor 6 Tagen besuchtLovely dinner at Terra for our Anniversary, great menu where we could have picked almost anything on it. We had cheese soufflé and mussels to start while expecting the soufflé to be the best choice turns out the sauce for the mussels was probably the best either of us have ever had. Lamb and pork for mains were excellent and really interesting take on them. unfortunately no space for deserts despite how good they sounded. Next time we’ll forego the very nice bread and olives in an attempt to save room. We liked it so much we’ve already booked their Burns night !Mehr erfahrenTerra Restaurant at TottingtonPreis: Sehr Niedrig• Vom Hof auf den Tisch• Henfield•4,7
- KKateLondon •12 Bewertungen4.0Besucht am 15. Nov. 2024Lovely welcome as always - shame there was so many items not available on the menu. Always love coming but not having some items made choosing more difficult and perhaps would have had a better experience if could have had our first choices! However had a lovely time with great friends.Mehr erfahrenCôte Brasserie - HorshamPreis: Moderat• Französisch• Horsham•4,3
