Open Tuesday to Sunday with food served all day from noon.We now have 3 Giant heated Tipis, they provide lots of fresh air and a lovely open environment, they are also heated.Formerly an 18th Century farmhouse boasting exposed beams, oak floors, exposed brickwork and oak tables. This leads to a very relaxed and cosy atmosphere with candle lit tables and real flame stoves.The cuisine is typically modern European, classically cooked using cornerstones such as stock pots to create their sauces with a brigade that has a passion for what they do. We went to Essence for our pre-xmas dinner date and had an amazing dinner with super attentive, fabulous service. Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant and we will be back!

Tom creates the most welcoming and enjoyable environment for indulging in outstanding food from the kitchen, and delicious wine from the cellar. Toms love for food, wine, coffee and all things to make your experience really personal is a gift that infuses through the team who'll be looking after you as they deliver the magic from the kitchen Its a must visit!

We were a group of 5 that dined yesterday for lunch. We all thoroughly enjoyed our dishes, all extremely well presented and nothing left on our plates! The service was spot on, lovely young girl who was most polite. Only negative was that we were a little cold but luckily, seated by the fire, we did eventually warm up.
