In 1688, Joseph Haviland built a tidewater gristmill that provided the locally-grown grains to a nearby bakery that supplied farmers and tradesmen with bread. It was the first public oven in New York State. Haviland’s Old Grist Mill and the public bakery were community gathering places for two centuries. Inspired by Joseph Haviland’s noble efforts, the Haviland Kitchen & Bar has been established for our neighbors. Went for breakfast for my birthday on Monday. Very quiet. Had a berry iced tea which was very nice. My husband and I shared the eggs Benedict and bananas foster French toast. Everything was superb!

Hard to say if the food or service was the best because they were both outstanding. So glad we ventured outside of our normal spots to try Haviland, we’ll definitely be back.

Never a disappointment!!! Food, service, value all excellent!!! Miquel a fantastic server!! The food was top notch I enjoyed the pork chop, my wife Branzino.both outstanding.our friends enjoyed the lamb chops and the Branzino as well!!the appts we shared the mussels, calamari, and the burrata. We shared 1 dessert. We were stuffed!! I took open half of the pork chop which my son enjoyed this morning. Always a great meal.

The experience was very good throughout the evening. The ambience was beautiful. The food is delicious… love the presentation for the food. The drinks are on point. Can’t wait to go back there again.
