Auf der monatlich wechselnden Karte des Ajanta stehen regionale Gerichte aus ganz Indien. Zum Angebot gehören Bio-Huhn und Gemüse. Wo immer möglich, verwenden wir lokale und nachhaltige Produkte. Die Meeresfrüchte stammen alle aus nachhaltigem Fang und vom Fischmarkt in Monterey. Das von uns verwendete Fleisch ist hormon- und antibiotikafrei. Das Ajanta wurde vom Restaurantführer Zagat von 2009-2014 zum besten indischen Restaurant in der gesamten San Francisco Bay Area gewählt. Auch für die Bay Area A-List wurden wir von 2009-2011 und auch 2013 zum besten indischen Restaurant gewählt. Darüber hinaus erhielten wir beste Bewertungen in mehreren Publikationen, darunter dem East Bay Express, dem Diablo Magazine und der Contra Costa Times. Auch im Guide Michelin werden wir erwähnt. Die Kunstwerke in unserem eleganten Speisesaal sind von den berühmten indischen Ajanta-Höhlen inspiriert.

    Always enjoy their pasta but thought we would try their entrees. The lamb shank and the petrale soul were savory and presented well, though a bit more rich than we are accustomed to. The radicchio salad was very good and our desserts were great. Our waiter, Benjamin was really nice as was the maitre d’. A great neighborhood restaurant!

    Can’t believe it took us eleven months to try Rose’s! What a great spot! Great vibe, delicious burger and Patatas Bravas. And, with only one server (Rose), the service was perfect. And we heard las nite, that they now have the liquor license that allows them to let people under 21 in to the restaurant. Bad news, because this place is going to get very busy soon…but we will wait our turn to come back very soon!

    This was a special occasion. My sister loves Ajanta, is from out of town and hadn’t visited in a while. We were welcomed graciously, given a table by the window and then served a wonderful meal. Truly memorable. Well done Ajanta.
