August is a restaurant that sits in the old heritage church on Dornoch Terrace, West End. Our dining room is surrounded by objects, art, and the original pitched church ceiling and stained glass windows. Our menu is influenced by regional food from France, Italy and SpainAugust is open for dinner from 5pm on Wednesday - Saturday, and from 12pm for Sunday Lunch. My wife and I went for Dinner to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary, when I booked I advised that it was an Anniversary, the staff were amazing and the complimentary glasses of Bubbles was a very nice touch. A great way to celebrate our anniversary. We will go again

Our first experience eating at The Green was wonderful. First we were very late but we were assured there would be a table for us. We ordered the set menu for 4 and enjoyed every dish. The eggplant tart tatin was especially delicious.

We loved everything about this dining experience. The setting is a small converted timber church with a soaring ceiling, pine floor, starched white table cloths and simple bentwood chairs. Food is perfectly balanced and creative. Stand out for us was the pickled fennel fritters and the mud crab omelette. The food was quite rich, a more French style and for 2 of us we opted for 6 smaller dishes and desserts and didn’t have a main. Extremely happy with this choice. The drinks are interesting, natural, earthy choices rather than more classic wines, but were delicious.
