Our menu is seafood focused with fresh seafood direct from the trawlers next door. A hidden gem in the seaside village of Shorncliffe, but only a train ride from Brisbane. There is live music Sunday afternoons. Grab a drink from the bar and sit alfresco by the water.

Our first experience eating at The Green was wonderful. First we were very late but we were assured there would be a table for us. We ordered the set menu for 4 and enjoyed every dish. The eggplant tart tatin was especially delicious.

We loved everything about this dining experience. The setting is a small converted timber church with a soaring ceiling, pine floor, starched white table cloths and simple bentwood chairs. Food is perfectly balanced and creative. Stand out for us was the pickled fennel fritters and the mud crab omelette. The food was quite rich, a more French style and for 2 of us we opted for 6 smaller dishes and desserts and didn’t have a main. Extremely happy with this choice. The drinks are interesting, natural, earthy choices rather than more classic wines, but were delicious.
