The Ferry Inn is a serendipitous country public house with welcoming staff, character rooms, candlelight, open fires, real ales, popular foods and fantastic sunsets. A 17th Century former smugglers haunt-- this is a pretty little pub in a lovely marshland setting with tables and benches on the front terrace and in the back alongside the riverbank. Inside it's very easygoing and chatty. The main bar has hop-draped painted beams, a green dado, and stools against the bar where they serve a beer called Oxney Ale specially brewed for the pub by Westerham Brewery. Having travelled to London in the past and enjoyed afternoon teas in various locations, we were very pleased that the newly opened Canterbury Ivy were offering Afternoon Tea. We cannot speak too highly of our whole experience. The three tiered selection, together with side plate of warm scones, all looked and tasted delicious - the savoury and sweet items, each with its own lovely flavours. The service was excellent - efficient, friendly and helpful, all of which created a very relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely be returning

Really liked it here. The ambience was nice, staff really nice and helpful. Food was really good and came out quickly. We also had cocktails which were good. Would definitely return.

Everything was great. Food was delicious. Dogs were welcome. Atmosphere was cosy. Preferred the snug over the main restaurant - it was just so cosy! Would highly recommend.

Heel lekker gegeten at Landgate bistro! Vriendelijk ontvangst, gezellig verlichte ruimte (minder kil dan op de foto's), en alle gerechten waren heel lekker. grote porties (zeker vleesgerecht en kaas achteraf!) Wij genoten van een perfect advondje uit!
