Welcome to SKÅL Nordic Dining - the neighbourhood Nordic restaurant located in a Grade II listed building at 149 Upper Street - a well-known address for high quality Scandinavian food and drink. Our restaurant SKÅL, meaning ‘Cheers’ in Swedish, opened on the 2nd of December 2019. We serve traditional Nordic recipes but with a modern, seasonal twist - all underpinned by the term 'husmanskost' meaning traditional home cooked Swedish food. Clean, earthy, minimalist interiors set the tone for our customers dining experience with whitewashed walls, wooden table tops and piles of logs stacked up in front of the open kitchen to fuel the grill. I had forgotten how much I love Sticks 'n' Sushi until last night. Loved it again. Great food and great value set menus. I had a really delicious non-alcoholic cocktail too.

The steward didn’t have much experience serving people. The sweet section of high tea had small shot glasses to be shared between 2 people. The menu said jalebi but the shot glass had a sprinkling of jalebi piece. I think this should be rethought as it’s physically impossible to share a shot glass worth of anything. Steward was very loud and started clearing tables when one of the party was still eating even though there were 10 other tables that were empty

The Sunday sharing roast was incredible and really good value for money. The atmosphere was lovely, really nice lighting and cosy vibes for a Sunday afternoon/evening

A simple menu but all delicious. Everything is gluten free except the rye bread, obviously, and including the desserts. I recommend the meat balls. End the meal with a small glass of aquavit. Lovely meal.
