August is a restaurant that sits in the old heritage church on Dornoch Terrace, West End. Our dining room is surrounded by objects, art, and the original pitched church ceiling and stained glass windows. Our menu is influenced by regional food from France, Italy and SpainAugust is open for dinner from 5pm on Wednesday - Saturday, and from 12pm for Sunday Lunch. Outstanding food in an unpretentious space. Don’t let the prices put you off. The meals are to share and for 4 people we shared 2 mains, but had 4 entrees and 6 oysters. The oysters were surprising - I don’t even like oysters, but these were magnificent. Seriously delicious food and great wines.

Bit of a blind booking, didn't know what to expect. A hidden gem. Wait staff excellent, food very good. Great wine selection. We booked for a pre show dinner and it really started the evening off well, Bill Bailey had a lot to live up to and he didn't disappoint either.

Just amazing, the food was spectacular, the decor was beautiful, the staff attentive and each meal was timed perfectly. The drinks were amazing and we're definitely coming back to try more. So so much more than dining out, it was an experience like nothing else in every way.

Lovely decor, nice and quiet for business lunches, staff always friendly and very professional. The food is outstanding and the menu and wine list selection is very good. Been there several times and it's always consistent.
