August is a restaurant that sits in the old heritage church on Dornoch Terrace, West End. Our dining room is surrounded by objects, art, and the original pitched church ceiling and stained glass windows. Max and Marilyn made our evening with their exceptional service and attention to detail. Given the open plan, being seated near the kitchen was very loud and detracted from the intimate dinner we were looking for - as it was not really busy, might want to leave those tables for walk ins or when really busy. The steak was exceptional.
