They developed a motto and never steered away from it – “If you are not proud of it, do not serve it!”. This was our first time dining at this restaurant. We had reservations and were sat down upon arrival. We were sat at a booth near the large bar area. The atmosphere was upbeat and lively. Our waiter, Sergio was excellent. Greeted us quickly and was personable and friendly. His recommendations were perfect. Salads were fresh and well proportioned. The short rib special was flavorful, fresh and also well proportioned. The food was excellent!! Highly recommended The Shanty and will definitely be back.

Salmon quinoa bowl delicious. While it had some greens, would have liked a bit more (I like a green serving nightly). Husband liked lamb burger - suggest options for other rolls besides brioche as brioche contains milk (not good for those with allergy). He got pita instead but couldn’t eat as sandwich given plating. Other party took home half of fish given size! Really good food and service all around.

We keep coming back!!! Kinda wish it was a tad quieter. However, it sits alongside the train station low, flying airplanes and boats next to you. It’s quite busy it’s worth stopping in. The food is perfect and the staff is excellent.
