"Amberley Castle has a long held reputation for delivering outstanding cuisine.Enjoyed on the first floor of the castle in either the magnificent Queen's Room, with its barrel-vaulted ceiling dating back to the 12th century and open fire or The Great Room, built-in 1165 by Bishop Luffa of Chichester, a fine example of Norman architecture with its high lancet windows, open fireplace, oak flooring, tapestry and suits of armour.The dress code for the dining room is smart casual. Just a mile down the hill from Goodwood Race Course we are 12 minutes drive from Chichester. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner we try to source our ingredients as locally and as seasonally as possible. Whether you are at a Goodwood Event or walking, cycling or just out for a drive and fancy a decent meal at reasonable prices, we like to think we are one of the best around. We have a great courtyard and garden space which can seat up to 100 people. Freshly ground coffee is available all day. With a mixture of local people and tourists there's always a warm welcome here.
