We had a choice to sit outside or inside - I think either would have been lovely but we chose outside and sat around the fire table - between the fire table, heat lamp and cozy blankets, the temperature was perfect even on a somewhat chilly night and you could not beat the wonderful atmosphere. It was our first time here but will not be the last.

Solid food and wine list. I've been here several times and always love the terrific choices for appetizers and entrees alike. And dessert! The crumbled baklava with ice cream was a great way to end a very nice meal.

This was our first time at this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent, as was the service. I would highly recommend this location.

The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and helpful, the dining room was comfortable and well designed. Nothing to complain about.

We ate at Akemi two nights in a row. That says it all. Counter seating was tons of fun. Watching the masters at work was best theater in Berkeley. Food was simply delicious. And, we will return!
