Welcome to The Red Lion Bishopgate!On the banks of the River Wensum and a stone's throw from Norwich Cathedral. We serve fresh, locally sourced food all day, everyday. Our head chef Tom has created a menu suitable for everyone, including gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options. We serve a delicious Sunday roast every weekend.Brunch is also available every weekend 10:00am-12 noon (11:30am on Sundays). Please see below our food serving times:Monday - Thursday: 12:00-20:00Friday & Saturday: 12:00-21:00Sunday: 12:00-19:00 with a choice of roasts and bar classics.We always leave some tables free, so if you can't make a booking just pop in to see if you can grab a table! Large car park for customers.Please note, your booking is allocated for 2 hours. Tables in the garden are rain proof and we do have heating, but may not be suitable in heavy rain. Very busy Sunday Lunch. We arrived at 12.45 and the restaurant was nearly full. Good service for us with the drinks and the meal. The food was also good, we had roast lamb, which was lovely. I did notice if you had a starter and not a roast for your main meal, the service, although very friendly, was much slower. Could not eat a desert, which indicates the main meal was quite filling, which is ideal.

Fabulous as always ❤️ Staff amazing Food exceptional My favourite place in Norwich And the new lions den ... is such a beautiful new addition.. Cosy , warming outdoor little den with firepits , blankets , mulled wine , toasting marshmallows,outdoor saunas , pure genius ambience... nothing beats this place in Noriwch It's a must go to !!
