The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59. The Royal as it was known has served the community and travellers alike. Booked for 4 people at 5pm . Nice warm welcome and drinks served quickly before being shown to our table . Nice cosy table ( by the radiator too 🙂) and looked after very well by the staff . Food delivered in a nice steady order and nothing was too much trouble if we needed anything . The girl in charge was funny and entertaining, keeping us happy all the way . We were in there 3 1/2 hrs and it didn’t feel anything like that , proving to be an excellent evening out in the Travellers Rest . Look forward to our next visit soon.

The Legh arms food and service is exceptional. Make sure you book in advance to avoid being disappointed. I would recommend anyone to give the Legh arms a try. We will definitely be back again very soon.
