Two Italian guys in their twenties met in Manchester to find out that they shared a unique passion; they both loved and missed, the Italian Aperitivo, the ritual of drinking, nibbling and relaxing after work. By the end of that very same year, Veeno was born: a place where everyone could enjoy great wines and the most authentic Spuntini – platters of meats, cheeses and other appetisers imported from strictly selected Italian producers. Our wines come from Caruso & Minini, our family vineyard back in Sicily where great-grandfather Antonio planted the first vines in the XIX century. My wife and I were looking for somewhere to take her brother to celebrate his birthday and after searching for places to go for Sunday lunch in Bristol we found The Cross House in Doynton. How glad we are that it was one of the pubs suggested! Set in a lovely part of the countryside not far from Bristol or Bath we sat and enjoyed what was one of the best Sunday lunches we’ve had in a long time. The roast beef was cooked perfectly and so good that we’ve booked for Sunday lunch on Mother’s Day! A true gem set in a beautiful part of the countryside!

This was our first visit to Lilliput Farm Kitchen for a Sunday lunch and what a fabulous meal it was. We received a warm welcome by the staff on arrival and given first class attention and service throughout our visit. The menu isn't perhaps extensive but the presentation and quality of the food is amazing. We certainly hope to visit again in the near future.
