Elizabeth und ich waren sehr aufgeregt, unser Restaurant in Downtown Stuart zu eröffnen. Nach Jahren der Besuche bei unseren Eltern haben uns unsere Herzen immer wieder hierher geführt. Unser Sohn Taylor (unser Küchenchef) und ich verfügen über eine gastronomische Ausbildung und wir drei teilen die Leidenschaft für qualitativ hochwertige Speisen, Getränke und Gastfreundschaft. Wir genießen es, unseren Gästen Gutes zu tun. Das „The Gafford“ habe ich nach meinen Großeltern benannt, die uns gelehrt haben, das Leben zu genießen, Spaß zu haben und zu lachen (vor allem über uns selbst). Mein Großvater war bei der Air Force und sein ganzen Leben lang in der Gastwirtschaft tätig - von ihm habe ich alles über das Geschäft, Kochen und Gastlichkeit gelernt. Ich erinnere mich, wie ich als Kind den Bauernhof meiner Großeltern besucht habe und mein Großvater mir das Grillen beigebracht hat. Mein Lieblingsgericht war ein riesiges Ribeye Steak. Auf der Speisekarte ist dieses unter „the Gafford“ als unsere Spezialität nach Art des Hauses zu finden. Willkommen im Gafford - wo eine ungezwungene Atmosphäre auf gehobene Speisen trifft.
