The Cat Inn is a 16th century free house set in the picturesque village of West Hoathly, a hilltop village set in the heart of the Sussex countryside. It is in within easy distance from the towns of East Grinstead and Haywards Heath and only 25 minutes from Gatwick Airport. The Pub with its oak beams and two inglenook fireplaces proffers a warm and cosy atmosphere in the winter, whilst our terrace is perfect to enjoy a drink and food in the summer months. Delightful old pub by the Ashdown forest. Good menu and service. Genuinely surprised by the quality of the food. Fully recommend. Staff welcoming and attentive. And most important - the plates were warmed. Nice coffee too. Will be booking another lunch there soon.

Another amazing meal at The Cat. It's really hard to describe just how perfect our evening was ... the food was so delicious - it just seems to get better and better, and the crab starter from the specials board was so good! The staff, as always, were amazing, perfect with timings and service and always so lovely to chat to. It was also pleasantly busy so the atmosphere was loveley but not noisy. Can't find fault in anything!

Pork roast was amazing. I called it my "death row dinner." It would be the food I'd order as my last meal, for the pure enjoyment! Brilliant service, always lovely to go there and such lovely staff who make you feel like friends and family.
