In 1688, Joseph Haviland built a tidewater gristmill that provided the locally-grown grains to a nearby bakery that supplied farmers and tradesmen with bread. It was the first public oven in New York State. Haviland’s Old Grist Mill and the public bakery were community gathering places for two centuries. Inspired by Joseph Haviland’s noble efforts, the Haviland Kitchen & Bar has been established for our neighbors. Excellent service and authentic Spanish food. Next to my Tia's Paella, it is more than a presentable 2nd. Food you grow up with is always better :) We've been there before and will be there again. Thank you Sangria 71!

It is our family's annual tradition to go to tavern 18 for Christmas Eve dinner!! We always get our favorite table and the service, food and staff are wonderful. We are grateful for this family tradition.
