Featuring recipes from his childhood. In 1688, Joseph Haviland built a tidewater gristmill that provided the locally-grown grains to a nearby bakery that supplied farmers and tradesmen with bread. It was the first public oven in New York State. Haviland’s Old Grist Mill and the public bakery were community gathering places for two centuries. Inspired by Joseph Haviland’s noble efforts, the Haviland Kitchen & Bar has been established for our neighbors. We enjoyed our time at Chef's Table. After having lived nearby for many years, we just discovered this restaurant. It is well appointed and the food was very good. Our server could have been better, however, it wouldn't stop us from going there again. We each had different items on the menu and we all liked what we had. The noise level was high at one point, although the tables are spaced out nicely.

My absolute favorite restaurant and I am never disappointed. The food atmosphere and service are always superb. Antonio’s specials are unique and outstandingly delicious. My husband and I never lack from options to choose from when dining at UVA Rossa from cocktails and appetizers to main dishes and dessert.

The service at Beginnings is ALWAYS EXCEPTIONAL. The food was outstanding just wish certain things were a little hotter. In this economy, the value of what you get is IMPRESSIVE! Will certainly be back

Hard to say if the food or service was the best because they were both outstanding. So glad we ventured outside of our normal spots to try Haviland, we’ll definitely be back.
