Das OBC Kitchen ist ein regionales, von einem Koch betriebenes Restaurant mit einer Kollektion extrem seltener Bourbon-Whiskys, einer vielseitigen Auswahl an Craft Beers und einer umfangreichen Weinkarte. Das vor dem Bürgerkrieg erbaute und von der Familie Cal Milam im Jahr 1936 vollständig restaurierte Merrick Inn war einst das Herrenhaus einer der besten Pferdehöfe in Lexington. Genau hier im Merrick Place trainierten Milam und sein Stallknecht, Mr. Johnson, den legendären "Exterminator", Gewinner des Kentucky Derby von 1918. Der Weg zu Ruhm und Reichtum begann hier ebenso für "Tut Tut", Komuraski, Commodore, Brown Wisdom, Miss Joy, Milkmaid, McKee und Dust Flower. Doch keiner dieser Namen erlangte so große Berühmtheit wie der Name Merrick selbst. Merrick erhielt 157 mal Preisgeld und gewann 62 Rennen. Das Merrick Inn ist seit fast 40 Jahren in Besitz und Betrieb der Familie Murray. Hier erwarten Sie das Beste an traditioneller südlicher Küche sowie innovative Spezialitäten. Die Zeiten haben sich geändert, doch die Schönheit und der Charme dieses Gasthofs sind geblieben.
