Dinner for Two has been named Best Steakhouse in New Mexico!
Excellent food, great cocktails and a fun dinning environment! We specialize in Prime cuts of beef, Filet Mignon Rib-eye, New York strip as well as table-side presentations like Caesar salad and Chateaubriand and Bananas foster. Please Call To make a reservation for our dog friendly Patio. Multi-award winning: including Wine Spectator and top 10 in southwest and Best Cocktail. Our cocktails are Well made fun and Forward Thinking, With an emphasis on Seasonality. Happy hour is available from 4 -6:00 every day! (Except Holidays). We love to host dinners for Weddings, organizations, or private celebrations from 2 to 90, everything is made in-house so special diets are easily accommodated: allergies, gluten free, etc.

    Dinner for Two was not quite up to the standard we expect of Santa Fe restaurants. This place is dated, the rooms are cold, and everywhere reeked of fried food. The building needs a deep clean, while the restrooms desperately need to be remodeled. Clearly the owners aren't putting any money back into the place. As for the food, Dinner for Two is know for its happy hour menu, although there isn't much here for those who are gluten free or vegetarian/vegan. We bought a few dishes and spent a lot here, but still felt hungry afterwards. With so many excellent restaurants in the area, we won't visit here again.

    A $400 price tag on an $80 experience. The server seemed well-meaning but didn’t pace the meal correctly at all, and didn’t know how to react to issues. The appetizers flew out of the kitchen before our cocktails arrived. The server said we could trigger entree prep ourselves, then the dinners were out less than 5 minutes after we asked him to fire them. The divorce martini cocktail was excellent, the Old Fashioned was lousy. The appetizers were good (quite small but to be expected for a flat rate). The lobster was great but the steak wasn’t cooked quite right and the cut was clearly smaller than 6oz, and it was covered in a mediocre sauce. We’ve had better filets at chain restaurants. The cheesecake was mediocre, but the chocolate cake dessert was inedible - picture a premade grocery store layer cake, but dried out and past expiration. So bad. The server offered a breezy apology and another dessert (only carrot cake remained) but we declined - the quality was clearly terrible. We’ve eaten here before and the quality of the food and service was sufficient to bring us back. This experience was quite disappointing and there are so many excellent fine dining options in Santa Fe - we won’t be back.

    Wonderful NYE experience. The staff were super attentive and the meal was exquisite. The prefixed menu had many options, but we went with the filet and lobster tails for the entree, each cooked to perfection. Cannot recommend DFT enough!

    The food was delicious, well prepared and just the right portions. Our waiter was very attentive, courteous and had just the right amount of a friendly personality.

    Went for New Years eve, way overpriced for the quality of the food. Crab stuffed trout was half a trout with a few bits of crab on top, shrimp cocktail was tasteless,crab cakes were good, prime rib was just ok, no bread served with the meal.The place was cold also. $300 for a dinner for two, very disappointed and underwhelmed.

    Everything was wonderful! The food was a delicious and not ridiculously priced like other restaurants in Santa Fe for NYE. The service was on point!

    Wonderful meal choices for the New Years Eve dinner. Food was outstanding. The only poor option was the Brussels sprouts served with just about every selection. They were not cooked well. Would have been fine not having them.

    The service was really poor for the price point of this restaurant. For an elevated high end restaurant we expected a lot more. The waiter didn’t offer the specials for the night but we over heard him telling a table near by. He barely checked on us all night. When I finished my cocktail the glass sat empty for half the meal and he never offered me another. Very disappointing to spend that much money and receive such poor service. The tables were wobble and uneven and the chairs seemed old and outdated. It’s been a while since we’ve been and we probably won’t be going back.
