Das Departure Restaurant + Lounge liegt oben auf dem historischen Meier & Frank Gebäude und bietet moderne asiatische Küche sowie globale Cocktails mit Panoramablick auf die Stadt. Der Executive Chefkoch Gregory Gourdet schafft Gerichte mit traditionellen Zutaten und Techniken aus vielen asiatischen Ländern. Die Räumlichkeiten wurden von Jeff Kovel von Sder Firma Skylab Architecture entworfen und erwarten Sie mit zwei Dachterrassen mit Blick auf die Innenstadt von Portland, den Willamette River und Mt. St. Helens.

Our dinner last night was one of the most wonderful dining experiences my family and I have ever had. First off, the view is absolutely incredible and added such a delightful element to our evening. Second, the staff are an absolute joy to be around. Our server Jesse was warm, welcoming, helpful and simply fabulous. Lastly, the food, you guys, THE FOOD IS out of this world tasty. Thank you for providing a beautiful environment for my family to make everlasting memories surrounded by stellar food and company.

Departure is a lovely, cool, hip space. Food is exceptional, service was too notch. Our two faves were the Pork Belly Kimchi Fried Rice and for dessert, the Mango Pineapple Cake. The rice was rich, complex and flavorful while being good ol' comfort food at the same time. The dessert was light, airy, just the right amount of sweet and simply delish! We also had the Spicy Tuna & Salmon Poke Roll, Departure Wings, Harami Beef Skewer, and the Stir Fry Eggplant. All of it was served perfectly hot or cold as appropriate, and all dishes were just perfect and delicious. Awesome experience!!

Always good food and service. One dish was way too salty. We notified our server of this but he seemed to not really care. When I tell a server that food does not tasting good, I am only complaining so it helps then do better and I am not looking for a free meal.

Food was great, service was amazing! We came in after our proposal, and was greeted with a congratulation card at the table! It was so sweet of them. All waiters knew it we were celebrating something special and every one of them said congratulations to us. They even gave us free champagne! I would always come back!

Not only the place to meet friends downtown, but also a wonderful dinner stop before a show. Great food and wonderful service! We're regular here.

Amazing food and drinks. Beautiful atmosphere. Service slowed to a crawl at end of service and we waited 15 minutes to get our bill and another 10-15 to get our card back.

I was highly disappointed! They sat us in the back table where my view was the restroom sign. Having had our appetizers, my husband and I waited over 45 minutes for our entrees to arrive! Our server was courteous, but the long wait just made our dining experience tedious. I will not be dining at Departure again!
