Josef Sheekey betrieb ursprünglich einen Stand mit Meeresfrüchten. 1896 eröffnete er am St. Martin's Court eine Austernbar. Das Restaurant wurde 1998 in seinem früheren Glanz restauriert. I had not eaten here before so I was pleased that it was so good. The AI review did not do it justice! We were warmly welcomed, helped with our coats, service was friendly and well-timed, and all the food was delicious, particularly the pea and goats cheese risotto. I would happily eat here again.

Sunday roast was nice & tasty! At first it didn’t seem up too much but when you unravel your lunch it was more than enough. I did get extra potatoes though 👍🏽 Another good reason to come is they are dog friendly🐶 We will be back.

Overall is good, the waiter is nice and friendly. We had requested to change a table with a better light, they accepted and changed. The price is not bad, but it would be great if more main meals choice.
