General Public is inspired by trying to imagine what an upscale English pub would be if it had the heart of an American brasserie (and was open 11 to 11). It’s also going to signal a little bit of steakhouse, but not too much. And finally, it will look behind itself at the Black Hoof, which you will see reflected in James Santon’s menu here and there. In terms of vibe, the main floor is ‘everything’s gone green’, with lush comfortable banquette seating, warm wood, and barstools designed for long conversations over many cocktails. Had an incredible time at General Public. The service and vibes were amazing and memorable. Jen Agg even filled our water glasses and served us desert ☺️. The caviar with mini Yorkshires is a dish we’ll be thinking about for a while - so delicious, as was the NY strip and chips. Definitely a top restaurant in the city and one that I’d recommend. CNN

Perfect setting for our dear friends birthday celebration. Everything was perfect. The sommelier recommended a fabulous Bourgogne, the server suggested perfect sharing items and the hostess pre organized an amazing desert with candle. Thank you for the best time !!

Always reliably good food at Joey’s . The servers went out of their way to be friendly. One day I’ll find out why the picture sign to a wheel chair accessible toilet point to the staircase. :)
