Our experience at the rock and fountain was first class When we arrived we were greeted by a young lads who was cheerful and very polite we started laughing and joking straight away which was class The lady who took our food and drinks order was the same happy polite and a good laugh and helpful with our order The 4 of us said what a great night it was ! That’s to all the staff we met for a great time 👊

Smiling greeting in entry to confirm our reservation Shown to our table & no problem for us to switch to a different table away from the bar area Drinks order taken quickly & drinks arrived in no time Food ordered, & delivered to our table - what a feast Service was efficient & polite, additional drinks, relish ( mustard & horseradish) offered & ordered The roasties, Yorkies, & veggies were presented in serving dishes along with gravy boat We had desserts, too - BOOM! What an explosion of flavour! Cauliflower cheese equally unbelievably tasty! Can’t speak highly enough of the venue, service & quality Def. Return

The food in this Inn is what I would call real pub food and it is excellent value, it does REAL chips. It`s a bit noisy now and again particularly when there is a family occasion but just find a table a little away from them as the lounge bar is a large area. If you are of a certain age they provide a Seniors menu , slightly smaller portions but for the price you pay excellent value.I must give a mention of the staff who are excellent NOTHING is to much trouble for them and they are always friendly and helpful even when they are very busy.
