Very pleasant pub with charming staff. Food excellent.

Amazing food, good service & good value. Quite rare these days.

Managed to get a table at their very popular Xmas by candlelight event and had a delightful couple of hours. Had to go to the 5.30pm sitting, no others available, which was a bit early for us. Our table was booked for another couple at 7.30pm which we would have preferred. Food was very good. We shared a starter of pate which was unremarkable but the main courses of venison and pork were excellent, as were the desserts. We sat right by the log fire and the premises looked very pretty with lots of fairy lights and candles. Next year we will book earlier and get a later table. Recommended.

We are a family with mixed dietary requirements and no request was any trouble for the team at The Rose and Crown. The food was excellent and the service very attentive. Overall a really lovely meal out.

Excellent food! Staff were polite, friendly and efficient. Can`t really ask for more, so would definitely go back.
