We had an excellent meal last night. My son had the ploughman's, huge. Excellent value for money. We come here a few times a year for birthdays etc, and I come with friends. The 2 courses for £22 is really good. Irs do nice to be able to bring the dog and the roaring fire was a bonus on a chilly, damp evening.

Called in for an early breakfast on New Year's Day morning. We were greeted with a friendly welcome, as always. Today was Paul, but all the staff make us feel welcome. Breakfast was served hot and quickly, and as always with top quality products. A good start to 2025 at The Royal for us 😊

Been here a number of times after a walk down the canal but not eaten here for a while but was not disappointed with the food and the whole experience. So thank you for a lovely visit

Kiesha and her team were wonderful on Christmas Day… the meal was perfect for us and served at a table by the open fire in a relaxed atmosphere. It was so nice that they limited the tables and allowed us to fully enjoy our meal… it made it all the more enjoyable so top marks to the management. We will be visiting every time we come to Manchester so thank you

The food was lovely, served hot and was really tasty. Service was excellent too and Kevin was very welcoming and friendly and even said bye to us at the door when we were leaving. Will eat here again.
