This burger is WORTH THE HYPE. And I loved the whole vibe of the restaurant as well, would definitely go again.

I looked up The Fox in the Michelin guide under gastropubs for somewhere to eat and stay for my husband’s birthday. It did NOT disappoint! The pub and restaurant were comfortable with a relaxed atmosphere and the food was fantastic - as good as any chef with Michelin stars in my opinion. The menu was varied and choice of wine excellent. The restaurant was tastefully furnished and so was our room with a lovely comfy bed! Cannot recommend enough to others.

Such a lovely evening at The Axe & Compasses. They’ve renovated it superbly & it has a great atmosphere, gorgeous furnishings, fab food & Staff. A wonderful birthday meal, thanks!

As usual the food, service & atmosphere was brilliant, as was our Christmas dinner (for 11 people). Really would recommend The Hole in the Wall. We’ve never been disappointed

Eating out can be challenging as one of us is coeliac, but here we got both fab food and felt listened to and looked after re coeliac concerns. BTW best roast beef I’ve had at a Sunday pub lunch by a long chalk!
