Grotta di Fuoco, which translates to Fire Cave, is an industrial, rustic space with subtle lighting, raw steel, reclaimed wood, and concrete finishes. Step inside, descend below street level, and enter our vision of a cave. As for the fire, our focal point is a wood burning oven right next to the bar. You can sit close enough to feel the warmth, hear the crackle, and smell the scent of food being cooked, all while being entranced by the open flame. Fantastic friendly vibe, the quality of purveying every item on the menu is consistently a 10. . The recipes are genuinely original and the selection of different meats, fish,pastas, salads and brick oven pizza are endless. I’ve been eating at DaNicola from day one and it NEVER disappoints my family and friends for any occasion. It’s a NYC experience at half the price of any 5 star restaurant!! Nicky the owner/chef of the restaurant loves satisfying his loyal customers with his home cooking!! Kudos to Marci, Donna and Stavros for their service.

Excellent Christmas Eve dining experience with superb food, service and a festive atmosphere to top everything off. We went the route of all appetizers, which were cooked to perfection and bursting was amazing flavor. The hand-crafted cocktails were equally terrific and the 12 days of Christmas drink menu was genius and had a wonderful array of choices!! Two thumbs up for creativity and a way to set yourself apart from the rest of the field for holiday dining.

Everything from the baked clams, fried calamari and stuffed mushrooms to the halibut, chicken sorrentino and rigatoni with mushrooms was delicious. Desserts were overrated and quite expensive for what they were. $15 for a slice of Italian cheesecake, really? Server was excellent!
