Relaxed but sophisticated vibes. Perfect place for our celebration meal with a group of mixed ages (85 through to 18) …everyone could hear the conversation. We didn’t feel rushed and our meal was prompt and the service professional. Everybody thought the ribeye on the bone was the hero. Don’t miss out on the octopus with harissa.

The service was efficient, friendly and nothing was too much trouble for the staff who waited on our table. The food was delicious and enjoyed by everyone in our group. There were a couple of people in our group with loss of hearing and they found the loudness was amplified through their hearing aids. When they removed their hearing aids to counteract the noise levels, their ability to hear conversation was diminished.

I’m fairly new to Canberra and was looking for an Italian restaurant for a date night and stumbled upon Briscola after a quick online search. Making the booking online was pain free. We were running a little late for our booked time and when I rang, the restaurant, to inform them, the person I spoke to was friendly and respectful. The service and food could not be faulted. The wine was brilliant. I would have no hesitation recommending this restaurant looking for a wonderful Italian restaurant.

Good hotel dinner options, food was good. Rather basic Chaires/tables etc. service was ok but staff “remembering” orders doesn’t always work…bread order forgotten. White wine bottle served was not cold with staff insisting it would cool in ice bucket…changed order to something that was cold. We also had breakfast following day and a good hotel buffet with sufficient options. Table clearing slow though. All suggests maybe have some trouble getting staff…like everywhere at the moment perhaps. But would go again!

Great to get back here and good to see them busy on a Tuesday!!
