Located high up on Saddleworth Moor above Manchester, Rochdale and Oldham, The Rams Head Inn at Denshaw enjoys panoramic views out over the surrounding countryside. It’s just five minutes from Jn 22 of the M62 and the inn is a real treasure, more than 450 years old and packed with memorabilia as well as stoves & log fires in every room. Whether you’re looking to enjoy breakfast, a light lunch, small grazing plates or gastro pub favourites, our seasonally changing menu offers something for everyone. Our all you can eat buffet breakfast is served between 8am – 11am and is the perfect way start to your day. Select from a range of hot food options including Sausage, vegan Sausage, Bacon, Eggs, Hash Browns, Beans and Mushrooms, with as additional choice of continental options. If you prefer we also have individual dishes available including pancakes & eggs benedict. We also provide Vegan and GF options. Main meals are served in our restaurant between 12pm-8pm, 7 days a week. Take a look at our menu to see our wide variety of choices.     A wonderful meal in a wonderful location. Staff were warm, friendly and attentive. Service was impeccable. Food was excellent and really good value for money. The pork loin was cooked to perfection and the black pudding was some of the best I've ever tasted. The potato rosti has gone into the top 3 potato dishes I've ever eaten - absolutely sublime. It was our first time here and it certainly won't be out last - an amazing hidden gem just outside Halifax.

    Had a lovely meal on New Year’s Day while we were on a trip to the Peak District for new years from Kent, we loved the food and the service here! Very worth a visit and dog friendly which was a bonus!

    The best pub! Beautifully decorated. Fabulous food and drink and wonderful staff. Great atmosphere and The Sunday night quiz was great addition! We are so lucky to have it as our local!
