Dining at The Old Deanery is an immersive experience, and you move through the building as you dine. Arrive into the cosy welcome lounge for pre-dinner drinks; chat, get comfortable, and relax – there will be no classical piano and hushed tones in here! Move through to the bar where you can watch some of the chefs work before they invite you to take your first course. The main event takes place in the restaurant, but forget white tablecloths and stilted service; the food may be formal but the atmosphere is not. Fabulous place, staff were brilliant, food choice great, quality and taste with superb, drink selection wide. Restaurant was nice, great aumbience. Price was reflective of the quality of food / service. You will lot be disappointed.

The food was delicious, big portions. It comes out quick so we asked for a break twice which the team were happy to accommodate. The main course is epic. Beautifully cooked. The beef just melts, and literally I could eat that cauliflower cheese all day long. They kindly packed my desert up.

What a gem of a place, the food was wonderful. We didn't realise something as simple as garlic bread could taste so delicious 😋 everything we ordered was full of flavour and my extremely fussy partner was bowled over by his pigs in blankets yorkie. Service was good and at £50 for the the two of us it was also very good value. We will definitely be back, thank you.
