Your coat is taken as soon as you arrive and you are handed a numbered token, then the Maitre d (the owner) welcomes you at the entry desk letting you know when your table is ready. You are then taken through into one of several lovely old fashioned but well maintained rooms and seated at your table. You are presented with the menu which is all classic French fare - bisque, crab mayonnaise, pate etc, with mains including halibut, duck confit, cassoulet, lobster and more. The wine list is not extensive, but affordable with red wines from memory priced at between the late £20’s up to £300, so not too bad for a central london location. Desserts are also lovely pear and apple tart, tarte de citron and so on. All relatively simple dishes but cooked perfectly from my experience and that of my fellow guests. A lovely, classic London night out. We will be back.Mehr erfahrenL'EscargotPreis: Hoch• Französisch• Soho•4,7

- SSianLondon •2 Bewertungen4.0Besucht am 12. Okt. 2024The overall experience was positive, however, despite booking, and the restaurant being nearly empty, things did not get off to a good start as my friend and I were placed at a table right next to a pillar when there were plenty of spaces, so we asked to be moved. This was done immediately. The service was fine and the servers were attentive and the food was good. I ordered a diet coke and was given a tiny bottle so had to order a second one half way through the meal. Usually a tall glass lasts me a whole meal. When the bill came I had been charged £5.50 PER BOTTLE! This is outrageous. I know that inner city rates are high but there is no justification for this. I did not make a fuss as the prices are not set by the waiting staff, but I won't be going back.Mehr erfahrenAtrio Restaurant and BarPreis: Moderat• Mediterran• Waterloo•4
