I invited 4 friends to join me for dinner at Sotto 13. The next morning I got multiple texts thanking me for introducing them to a great restaurant and raving about the food. Henry is a great server, the roasted vegetable pizza is delicious and the back room is beautiful. Of course, we’ll be back.

With so many steakhouses in New York City, it’s easy to overlook some of the historic stalwarts. I recently dined at Il Mulino Prime in SoHo and was thoroughly impressed by both the service and the outstanding food. Our porterhouse steak for two was perfectly cooked and flavorful, complemented by delicious vegetables, a well-balanced Caesar salad, and a fresh tuna starter. The wine list, though small, was thoughtfully curated, and the desserts were exceptional. Service was attentive without being intrusive, adding to the intimate experience of this 13-table gem. A solid evening at a spot that deserves more recognition.
