The founder is a mother of three who was looking for places locally to have a nice coffee and some lovely brunch whilst my older children were at school and I had the little one with me.Locally there wasn’t anything except for the coffee shop chains who didn’t offer proper meals during those core school hours where you want to be able to have enough time to enjoy your meal but also get out by 2pm on time for the school run. There are plenty of places for lunch that open from 12 but women like the founder who maybe would like to meet a friend for a coffee and brunch there wasn’t anything.This is why I decided to start Nashtaa. Where we can all go have a lovely cup of tea or coffee, a nice brunch with a fusion twist and a homemade slice of cake to top it off! All in a beautiful Instagram worthy setting.

Patri has several meanings, in Hindi it means Pavement, in Urdu it means Track and in ancient Sanskrit its means a vessel or small furnace. The name took us back to our origins and we decided to use Pavement, Tracks, and Furnace to come up with a street food menu contains all three elements. Our starters are street food classics on pavements in India and Pakistan. Our grills are freshly cooked in the tandoor at over 400 degrees to replicate cooking in a furnace. The ambiance is lovely with a light pink decor. The food was okay, Karak chai was good. The service we found was poor. The food took quite a long time to be served. No water or cutlery, tissues served until we kept asking for it. Overall satisfactory.

Food was absolutely delicious - best curry I've had in a long time. Service excellent. My only slight criticism would be decor - as we went near to Christmas it would have been nice to have had a few Christmassy lights/decor. Otherwise, I can't fault it.
