Michelin-recommended since 2022.We first imagined Aloette to be the perfect diner that we’d want to dine in – a menu with a great cheeseburger paired with a fantastic and fun wine list, a long row of bar stools facing the bar and the kitchen, and an energetic atmosphere accented with an old school hip hop playlist. The buzz of the dining room mirrors the energy of the street on Spadina Avenue; the dining room itself mimics a train’s dining car. It’s a bistro-meets-diner-meets-internationally-inspired menu which is also representative of the diverse culture in Toronto. Our service team is upbeat and genuine but also deeply knowledgeable about the menu and offerings. Brunch at Aloette was something we said we’d never do. But the city kept asking and we’re glad to be a new staple in the Queen West neighbourhood for mimosas, chicken and waffles, and piping hot coffees. Good food, good service, a bit noisy, hard to hear the people across the table from you talking. Overall would recommend Moxies. It has a nice vibe to it.

This happening stylish bistro is worth visiting. Ambience is cozy and food and service were top notch. Nice variety of small and main plates to share and enjoy. Wedge salad is a must to try and the complimentary cheddar brioche was a nice (& delicious) start to our meal.

It has a nice ambiance, intimate, and suitable for conversation. We went on a Tuesday night, the restaurant was half full. We ordered the Short ribs, steak frites, and hamburger. All of us enjoyed our meals. The meat was done well, and portion sizes were good. It is an older restaurant with a classic charm. Service was on point. We celebrated a birthday and ordered the 13-layer chocolate cake. It was a fun birthday treat, and it was delicious, not too sweet. There was plenty to take home afterwards. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and exceeded my expectations.
