From receiving a call midday, confirming our reservation from OpenTable from one of the owners & throughout the whole dining experience was just fabulous. First time in a long time, my wife & OK I had a great dinner for under $100. We will return as it was our first time.

We were lucky enough to get a table during the Grand Illumination and the food absolutely matched the beauty of the parade. Every bite of our meal from the pumpkin soup (that has the most amazing homemade croutons!) to the tuna tartare that was just melt-in-the-mouth delicious and the delicious scallops…every single bite was just amazing. I’m absolutely going to come back because I saw someone else get the GL burger and I NEED to try it! Looked amazing! Our server Christa was absolutely amazing. Extremely attentive but without being overbearing. Our drinks were always tended to and she was very knowledgeable about the dishes we were eating. The whole experience was just delightful from beginning to end.

The food was excellent. Would have been nicer if my wife and I did not need to sit next to the bar when the rest of the restaurant was empty when we arrived

We had Javier as our server and he was AMAZING!!!! we loved the crab cake and the desserts were good too! We came on a Sunday night and it was pretty quiet which was nice. Very few people shuffled in and out and it was nice. We had shrimp to start off with, the fish n’ Chips and the crab cake plate for our main course and tried both the key lime pie and the creme brûlée for dessert! Everything was great! We loved Javier and will definitely be coming back!

Lovely Afternoon Tea experience as always. We enjoyed ourselves very much indeed. Wonderful service by Rose who was attentive, detail oriented, proffesional, and a pure joy to meet. She was very sweet to record a short video of my friend & myself in place of photos. There's no Afternoon Tea experience in Virginia Beach quite like the Afternoon Tea at the Cavalier. Unmatched in ambience, service and the food offered.
