We only allow entry once the reserved number of guests have arrived. The dining time is limited to 90 minutes. Gin & Cocktail Bar The original 1840s sandstone walls of the building Frank Mac’s now occupies a 120-person capacity bar which flows from outdoor seating on George Street, across two levels and into a back courtyard. Whereas the downstairs space feels cosy and intimate, dotted with vintage leather banquettes, dark jade and light orange velvet armchairs, low tables and a fireplace, the ground level you’ll walk into off George Street will reflect the energy of the bartenders working behind the almost five-metre-long oak bar. A handful of bar stools provide the perfect vantage point to take in the cocktail mixology while the dark velvet curtains, worn leather banquette seats and cosy fireplace of the ‘Snug’ provides groups of up to eight with a private space to retreat and relax.

    Pocket has a lovely menu and the staff are extremely friendly and patient. The food was good but overpriced for what you get and considering it wasn’t too busy, the food was slow to come out. Very fresh and tasty ingredients though! The cocktails are the standard price for Bondi and very nicely made. Also a little slow to receive them but I’d say they had more drink orders than food at the time. Was surprised they didn’t have more staff on for a Saturday afternoon however, our experience was very relaxing and the staff are not pushy whatsoever for you to order or move from your table :) we would go again but not too often with the cost.
