The Archduke war das erste Restaurant in London das in dieser Gegend öffnete. Es hat seit 1979 mehrere Inkarnationen überlebt, aber ist immer noch so frisch wie eh und je mit schnittigen, schlichten Möbeln im Kontrast zu den alten nackten Ziegelwänden und der modernen Glasfassade. Everything was great & the food was delicious particularly the burgers. However, I found the menu confusing. I asked for an extra beef patty & mine was a full sized one. Big my son who asked for 3 patties with his smashed burger found they were very thin. Apparently this is what you get with a smashed burger but this wasn’t clear on the menu.

The restaurant now has a lovely cosy feel. Great food and service, big portions so good value, last time I had the pork belly bites for starter and they were delicious, my partner said he could just eat a whole bowl of them. This time I had the fish and chips and enjoyed it. Service all round was excellent, friendly and helpful, need to try the sunday roast next. Will definitely return and would absolutely recommend
