For the next few months we will only be taking bookings for our Indoor seats as the weather is a little too unpredictable for the next couple of months. The Woollen Mills has been one of the most iconic buildings and businesses in Dublin for over one hundred years, and to have taken over this site is a serious privilege. Much like our award-winning sister restaurant next door, The Winding Stair, we feel like we are custodians of something very special... a piece of history (James Joyce worked here, how unbelievable is that?!) and we must do it proud! Spanning over four floors and with a glorious roof terrace overlooking the River Liffey. The Woollen Mills is quintessentially Irish, local and of its locale. We want it to be an 'Eating House', a house of food, a place to grab a coffee and bun, a plate of Irish fish and chips, a place to score a casual bite befre the nearby theatres and cinemas or sit with seven courses of Irish antipasti, burrata, crab, lamb or cauliflower steak, overlooking the Ha'penny Bridge with a fine bottle of red or a craft beer. Great food as always. Coffee machine was not fully working which lead to a backlog. 2nd coffee took about 20 mins and s few reminder. A heads up when ordering would have helped if we’d known it would be that long we would likely have paid up happy and left to free up a table.

Lovely brunch. Staff good humoured and helpful. Table by window overlooking sea… what a view. Coffees and pastries/sandwiches were delicious 🙏

I went for brunch with 2 of my friends and we all really enjoyed it. It was a bank holiday Monday so it was quite busy which meant at times, service was a little slow and it was hard to get a waiter's attention (but nothing major!) The food was really good, would definitely recommend the pancakes with seasonal fruit. I think it is good value for money too, we were all comfortably full by the time we left. Bonus: it is dog friendly!
