Bright and airy, with a vintage retro style and featuring distressed wooden tables topped in white marble, salvage greenhouse window frames and comfy linen banquettes, Salt continues Avoca’s emphasis on serving delicious, seasonal dishes with largely locally sourced ingredients. Salt's name comes its Salthill locale - which itself was derived from salt works that were once here - plus the nearby sea and, of course, the seasoning. A warm and inviting atmosphere with a lovely buzz. Food was delicious , great quality and good value. Staff were lovely. A perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Highly recommend.

Definitely coming back. Food was incredible and the staff were excellent although it was extremely busy due to a rugby international and when they were under pressure the service suffered. Our dinner was finished and noone available to clear our table but it was understandable given the circumstances. We still very much enjoyed it and the food was delicious. Bottom line we will be back

We had such an enjoyable evening. The waitress was very friendly and looked after us really well. The pianist was amazing creating such a lovely vibe. The food was delicious. We'll definitely be going back again soon.
