August is a restaurant that sits in the old heritage church on Dornoch Terrace, West End. Our dining room is surrounded by objects, art, and the original pitched church ceiling and stained glass windows. Beautiful venue there inside the repurposed church. Great ambience. The staff were fantastic and super attentive. But above all the food was absolutely amazing. They do a really good dirty martini too. But the food: OMG! Oysters chorizo. What a combination! The artichoke with parmesan custard: complete flavour bomb. The chicken crown with fois gras was huge and unbelievingly tast. There are leftovers in the fridge an in looking forward to that. Saving some for leftovers was a good idea so as to fit the blue cheese cheese cake with PX jelly. Thanks so much! Brilliant evening.

Our table position was perfect for soaking up the ambiance but also allowing us the privacy to catch up … the food was delicious and our waiter was knowledgeable friendly and helpful… another lovely night at The Terrace.

Harvey’s gnocchi with scallops, sage butter and prosciutto was absolutely delicious, and, dare I say, possibly the best meal that I have enjoyed in Brisbane for some time. Thank you 🙏🏻 🤩
